The legal form, location and other details have not yet been addressed but should be within a few weeks. In this context, I wish to associate, to the extent that you are interested in a working group. It will be responsible for defining the structure, function and manner of such entity. I expect a participation as large as possible of the Mandriva Linux "ecosystem" (I do not like that label), namely representatives of addition of Mandriva SA, Rosa, Unity Linux, and some of the emblematic figures of French free software. Can you tell me quickly if you are interested in participating in this working group? Feel free to call me to discuss. --------------------------------------------- So we have to answer quite quickly and together. What I (personally) think about this: - Mageia should not join that work group because we do have defined our own governance model and what is proposed here would change it - Mageia is an independant project and must stay as it - Having a clear position now will show we are ok to have mdv in ecosystem but it will not change our principles WDYT ? Mdv official announcement is planned for tomorrow Cheers -- Anne http://mageia.org
