Translation first, original in French below. Dear Jean-Manuel, thank you very much for this information and this invitation. Without regret or disdain, after discussion with other board members, I can tell you that we are not interested in joining this workgroup. - Mageia would have been the ideal collaboration hub for such an entity, to join and grow, precisely to play such a role; but it did not happen, probably because our governance rules don't fit [Mandriva's] Supervisory Board; so be it. We will not walk another road, this very governance has been defined as it is for very specific reasons. - we spent a lot of time, energy, conversations, to define Mageia on several levels. And we went on producing stuff, and regularly put things back to work. - we don't have much information about trends behind the future entity, what are the goals of each of the potential participants. Ours are public and clear since day 1. - we don't have the means (neither the wish) to disperse further our (small) means on a new thing to define and build, we think our priorities are elsewhere at this point. - this won't prevent each of us to collaborate, since our tools and technos will be Free Software. Feel free to share the above reasons, they will be the same if we are asked why we chose not to participate. And we wish you good luck, and temper, for this endeavour. Bien cordialement, Romain d'Alverny
